THE STORY
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. (Genesis 1:1-2). “…the Word was with God, and the Word was God…All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being…In Him was life.” (John 1:1,3-4). “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness’…God created man in His own image…” (Genesis 1:26-27). “Then the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. The Lord God commanded the man saying, ‘From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.
Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him.’” (Genesis 2:15-18). “The Lord God fashioned…a woman…and brought her to the man.” (Genesis 2:22). “ …a man shall leave his father and mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24). “God blessed them; and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it…’” (Genesis 1:28).
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said, ‘…has God said you shall not eat from any tree of the garden?’” (Genesis 3:1). “You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil…” “…she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened…they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden…and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God…” (Genesis 3:4-8). “…through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned---” (Romans 5:12). “…the Law was our guardian…” (Galatians 3:24). “…The Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes.” (Deuteronomy 6:24). “…the Law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.” (Romans 7:12). “…through the Law we become conscious of sin.” (Romans 3:20). “…the Law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.” (Romans 7:14). “…whoever keeps the whole Law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” (James 2:10). “…if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.” (Galatians 3:21).
“But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5). “…God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) “The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14) “… the image of the invisible God…” (Colossians 1:15) “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage.” (Philippians 2:6) “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21). “… apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets…the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe.” Romans 3:21-22). “By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word…preached to you.” (1 Corinthians 15:2) “…that Christ died for our sins…” (1 Corinthians 15:3) “…He made Himself nothing…being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death --- even death on a cross!” (Philippians 2:7-8) “…He was buried…He was raised on the third day…” (1 Corinthians 15:4). “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12). “…all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…” (Romans 3:23).
"…what shall we do?” “…Repent and be baptized…in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:37-38). “…walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16). “…if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” (Galatians 5;18). “…grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…” (2 Peter 3:18). “Pray continually.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). “Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.” (1 Peter 2:2). “The Holy Scriptures…are able to make you wise…” (2 Timothy 3:15). “Jesus…said, ‘…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.’” (Matthew 28:18-20). “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be where I am.” (John 14:2-3). “…You…must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:44). “What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’” (Mark 13:37).
